Last Thursday we played Sinterklaas in the class, we had a lot of fun (Mexicans trying to sing Sinterklaas Kapoentje). And my teacher bought great American food, like cheesecake and donuts. Last Friday I had my last school day here in New York, but it was also the day that my sister arrived! I showed her the campus and I introduced her to my friends. We even had dinner at the campus, because I wanted to show her how it was like here.
On our first day, we went to Times Square, the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza and we did some shopping at 5th Avenue.
In the evening we went to a bar in The Village.
We went to the Empire State building, and we had an amazing view!!We had dinner at Little Italy, the food was delicious. The next day we went to the 9/11 memorial and we went to the Statue of Liberty. After that we went to the Financial District.
In the evening we walked over the Brooklyn bridge, it was absolutely amazing!! The next day we went to Times Square again to buy tickets for the Broadway musical Matilda. The musical was amazing, I loved every second of it.We went to the Highline park, which was back in the years a rail road.
On our last evening we went to the Rooftop club from the Empire hotel. My sister wanted to see it because (of course) Gossip Girl. Sadly no Chuck Bass there.
And then it was the day of goodbye, and time for me to head back to the campus. The next time I will see my sister is in 5 months..I had a letter when I arrived at the campus, it was from my friend Cely who wished me a merry Christmas. I am still waiting for a package from Maaike, with a lot of food in it, I really hope it is here after the weekend.
